Always get a
second valuation
An accurate
valuation is indispensable. Price too high and you could be sitting for months.
Price too low and you could be missing out on your dream home for the sake of a
quick sale.
Choose the
right agent
Be careful
not to fall for whoever gives you the highest valuation or charges the lowest
commission. You need someone with excellent knowledge of the local market, and

Be up-front
about major flaws
If there are
any serious problems with the house, make sure you tell your agent. It could be
the difference between a fuss-free sale and the whole thing falling apart –
which no one wants. Non-disclosure is false economy. Be honest and open from
the start.
